My Opinion About ShockingBoys:
When I think of twinks I can't say that BDSM is the first thing that comes to my mind. However, every leather daddy had to start somewhere and these young twinks are ready and willing to learn the ropes and sometimes learn while bound by tight ropes.
ShockingBoys members' area has a design that instantly reminds me of a video feed site. Nevertheless, the material is mostly exclusive. There are updates every five days and you'll find 156 sets of photos and 178 movies so far. Also offered are gay erotic stories, a gallery of 3D pictures and comics and there is a forum. The forum is more or less like a site blog and here you can find news about updates or about specific models photographed and taped for the site content. However, the Shocking-Boys news is intermingled with news from some of this company's other twink sites like BoysFun.
Navigating the content is a bit of an issue to me. There aren't any categories or filters and you can't sort the content, either. Whether you're in the photo or video gallery you'll simply come across thumbnail photos with a set or episode number. Other than reading the blog to find out about specific lads, there is no indication as to who these guys are and teasing descriptions only appear with photo sets and not with movies, which is where descriptions really matter in my opinion. The site is very plain and basic in this regard and this makes it rather impersonal, or as I've previously mentioned, makes Shocking Boys come off as a video feed site.
Photos are a blend of solo and hardcore scenes that include both couples and threesomes. There are some bondage scenes, but mostly it looks like there are pissing, snowballing, fisting and other extreme penetrations, and fucking. D/s runs through many sets, though. There can be as few as 23 pictures or as many as 250 in any one set. The actual numbers vary considerably, and so does the size of the pictures. I selected a half dozen sets randomly and came across a range of sizes (1036x675, 1024x768, 732x478). Some images are very crisp and others are merely average. There aren't any Zip files to collect your favourite sets, so you'll have to download your preferred pictures one at a time.
Windows Media Video is the format of choice on Shocking Boys, but it's also the only option. Also, the videos are divided into three to five minute parts. There aren't any full episode downloads offered. Threesomes, gangbangs, glory holes, CBT, pissing, fisting, bondage and BDSM can all be found. However, there are some movies that really don't fit into the shocking category. Also, the men range in age and while there are some twink movies there are also mature men and bears on this site. The quality of newer films is a decent 1670kbps, 720x400 pixels. However, it doesn't take long before you're crossing paths with 507kbps, 640x480 videos. The quality is inconsistent throughout, but at least the majority of films, both new and older ones from 2004, are higher quality than not. Still, there aren't any exceptional HD movies.
Final Verdict:
Shocking Boys is a mash of different themes and guys. There are twinks experiencing some extreme and extremely thrilling D/s scenarios, but there aren't nearly as many twinks as the tour leads one to believe. The updates are good and most of the quality is decent, but navigation and quality does need improvement. On the whole, Shocking Boys just really failed to impress me.
